The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a 2023 action-adventure game developed by Nintendo EPD and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is the twentieth main entry in the The Legend of Zelda franchise, and a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game was played on The D-Pad upon its release, as the thirty-fourth weekday game and forty-eighth game overall in The Legendary Let's Play. The LP was preceded by two episodes of The D-Pad Reacts focusing on a gameplay presentation and the game's final trailer, respectively, released on March 28 and May 15, 2023. The main LP consisted of 220 episodes, released on weekdays from May 15, 2023 to March 29, 2024. Immediately after the completion of the main story, the LP continued as a livestreamed series on the dpadfm Twitch account, with Rick attempting to 100% the game. The livestreams were released on YouTube in 12 episodes from April 18 to May 25, 2024. A bonus video consisting of the "Hero's Path" of the entire LP was released on June 3, 2024, for a final total of 233 episodes.
