Mega Man: The Wily Wars is a 1994 action-platform game developed by Minakuchi Engineering and published by Capcom for the Sega Genesis. It is the first Mega Man game for a Sega console, a sequel to Minakuchi's series of Mega Man games on the Game Boy, and a remake of the Nintendo Entertainment System games Mega Man, Mega Man 2, and Mega Man 3. The plot follows Mega Man as he battles against Dr. Wily, who has traveled back in time to their first three conflicts in an attempt to change their outcome. After completing all three games, an exclusive new mode named Wily Tower is unlocked, containing three new Robot Masters and a new castle area. The game was played on The D-Pad in 2015, as the seventeenth weekday game and nineteenth game overall in The Mega Let's Play. The LP consisted of 31 episodes, released on weekdays from September 28 to October 27, 2015. The LP's live-action outro, delayed from its original inclusion in the final episode, was released as a separate video named "The Legend of Internet Personality Ben Mooney" on November 28, 2015.
Mega Man: The Wily Wars is one of the forty-two games included in the Sega Genesis Mini dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2019, as the fourth game in their Sega Genesis Mini series. The episode was released on November 7, 2019.
