Ecco the Dolphin is a 1992 action-adventure game developed by Novotrade International and published by Sega for the Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Game Gear, and PC. It is the first game in the Ecco the Dolphin series. The player controls the titular dolphin as he fights against extraterrestrials causing havoc in Earth's oceans. The Sega Genesis version of the game is one of the forty-two games included in the Sega Genesis Mini dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2019, as the third game in their Sega Genesis Mini series. The episode was released on November 6, 2019.

The Sega CD version of Ecco the Dolphin is one of the sixty games included in the Sega Genesis Mini 2 dedicated console.
