Sonic Generations is a 2011 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the series. The player alternates between controlling "Classic Sonic" in 2D stages and "Modern Sonic" in 3D stages, as the two work together to defeat Eggman, who has teamed up with his own past self in an attempt to defeat Sonic. The game features levels taken from across the entire history of the franchise. The game was played on The D-Pad upon its release. The LP consisted of 22 episodes, released on weekdays from November 17, 2011 to February 5, 2012.
