The Legend of Zelda is a 1989 animated television series based on The Legend of Zelda franchise. Produced by DIC Entertainment, it is inspired by The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, the first two games in the franchise. The series was covered by The D-Pad in 2018, in a series of D-Pad + Chill episodes as part of The Legendary Let's Play: A Terrible Fate. The series began on September 8, 2018, the twenty-ninth anniversary of the TV show's premiere.
