Bubble Bobble is a 1988 platform game developed and published by Taito for the Nintendo Entertainment System, originally released in arcades in 1986. It is the first game in the Bubble Bobble series. One or two players control the brothers Bubby and Bobby, who have been turned into bubble dragons, as they fight their way through the 100 levels of the Cave of Monsters in order to rescue their girlfriends and return to their human forms. It is one of the thirty games included in the NES Classic Edition dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2018, as the twentieth game in their NES Classic Edition series. The episode was released on December 26, 2018.
