Balloon Fight is a 1986 action game developed by Nintendo R&D1 and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System, originally released in arcades in 1984 under the name Vs. Balloon Fight. The player controls an unnamed "Balloon Fighter" in one of two game modes; the original arcade mode, where the objective is to defeat all enemies on the screen, and "Balloon Trip", a side-scrolling game where the player must dodge obstacles and survive as long as possible. The arcade mode has a two-player co-operative option. Balloon Trip is one of the thirty games included in the NES Classic Edition dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2018, as the twenty-ninth game in their NES Classic Edition series. The episode was released on December 30, 2018.
