Donkey Kong is a 1986 platform game developed by Nintendo Research & Development 1 and Ikegami Tsushinki and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System. A port of a 1981 arcade game, it is notable as the first game in the Donkey Kong franchise, and features the first appearances of both the titular Donkey Kong and Mario (then known as Jumpman). The NES Classic Edition re-release of the game was played by The D-Pad in 2018, as the second game in the series of the same name. The LP consisted of a single episode; it was released on December 3, 2018.
