Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is a 2000 platform game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. It is part of the Kirby franchise, and the first game in the series to feature 3D graphics. Featuring 2.5D gameplay, the game follows Kirby and several allies as they journey to reassemble a powerful crystal that was broken into shards by the evil entity Dark Matter. It introduces a new mechanic that allows Kirby to combine any two of his copy abilities into unique, powerful attacks. The game was played on The D-Pad in 2016, as the fifteenth game in The Dreamy Let's Play and the nineteenth game in You Do It. The LP consisted of 23 episodes; 21 covering the main game released from December 8, 2016 to January 5, 2017, and 2 further episodes covering 100% completion released from September 9 to September 16, 2022.
