Metroid: Other M is a 2010 action-adventure game developed by Team Ninja and Nintendo SPD and published by Nintendo for the Wii. The plot, set between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion, follows Samus Aran as she investigates the derelict Bottle Ship alongside a platoon of Galactic Federation soldiers, led by her former commanding officer Adam Malkovich. The game is played in third-person 3D, with a control scheme unique to the series, adding melee attacks, finishing moves and the ability for Samus to automatically recharge energy and missiles when needed. The game was played on The D-Pad by Rick in 2021, as the seventh game in The Screwy Let's Play. Episodes were streamed live on the dpadfm Twitch account before being posted to YouTube. The LP began on September 22, 2021.
