Hellfire is a 1990 scrolling shooter game developed by NCS and published by Seismic Software for the Sega Genesis. A port of a 1989 arcade game, the player controls Captain Lancer, who pilots a space fighter craft through six increasingly difficult levels in order to battle a robotic dictator attempting to destroy the galaxy. It is one of the fifty-three games included in the Sega Genesis Mini 2 dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2022, as the thirty-sixth game in their Sega Genesis Mini 2 series. The episode was released on December 6, 2022.
