After Burner II is a 1990 vehicular combat game developed by Sega AM2 and published by Sega for the Sega Genesis. It is a port of a 1987 arcade game, the sequel to After Burner, and the second game in the After Burner series. It is similar to the first game, with the addition of throttle controls. It is one of the sixty games included in the Sega Genesis Mini 2 dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2022, as the twenty-third game in their Sega Genesis Mini 2 series. The episode was released on November 27, 2022.
