Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is a 2011 action role-playing game developed by h.a.n.d. and published by Square Enix for the Nintendo DS. It is part of the Kingdom Hearts franchise. Set after the events of Kingdom Hearts II, the story follows the efforts of Jiminy Cricket, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy to debug a digitized version of Jiminy's journal from Kingdom Hearts, in order to uncover the origin of a cryptic message that has appeared inside it. The player controls "Data Sora", an artificially intelligent avatar of Sora created by Mickey to enter the journal and battle the bugs and Heartless found within. The game was played on The D-Pad by Rick in 2021, as the sixth game in The Heartless Let's Play. Episodes were streamed live on the dpadfm Twitch account before being uploaded to YouTube. The LP began on December 2, 2021.
