Ristar is a 1995 platform game developed and published by Sega for the Sega Genesis. Set in a far-off galaxy, the player controls the titular anthromorphic star as he battles against the space pirate Kaiser Greedy. It is one of the fifty-three games included in the Sega Genesis Mini 2 dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2022, as the twentieth game in their Sega Genesis Mini 2 series. The episode was released on November 24, 2022.

Trivia
- The D-Pad recorded some gameplay footage of Ristar in 2013. The LP was never fully released, but some of the footage was included in the third episode of their The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past LP.
