Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf is a 1992 shoot 'em up game developed and published by Electronic Arts for the Sega Genesis. It is the first game in the Strike series. Inspired by the events of the Gulf War, the player controls an Apache helicopter battling on the side of the United States in a war in the Middle East. It is one of the sixty games included in the Sega Genesis Mini 2 dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2022, as the fourth game in their Sega Genesis Mini 2 series. The episode was released on November 12, 2022.
