Metroid Fusion is a 2002 action-adventure game developed by Nintendo R&D1 and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. It is the fourth game in the Metroid franchise. Set an indeterminate amount of time after Super Metroid, the plot follows Samus Aran, now partly fused with Metroid DNA due to an incident involving the deadly X parasite, as she attempts to prevent an outbreak of X aboard a space station. The gameplay is similar to that of Super Metroid, but with a more linear focus; "navigation rooms" which inform the player where they should go next are present, and changes have been made to the physics to prevent sequence breaking. The game was played on The D-Pad by Rick in 2021, as the fourth game in The Screwy Let's Play. Episodes were streamed live on the dpadfm Twitch account before being posted to YouTube. The LP consisted of 3 episodes, released from July 28 to August 12, 2021.
