Monster Hunter Rise is a 2021 action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom. It is the sixth main entry in the Monster Hunter series, expanding on mechanics introduced in Monster Hunter: World and placing a greater emphasis on vertical movement than previous games. The 2022 PC version of the game was played on The D-Pad by Dave shortly after its release. Episodes were streamed live on the dpadfm Twitch account before being posted to YouTube. The LP began on January 20, 2022.
