Rainbow Islands: The Story of Bubble Bobble 2 is a 1990 platform game developed by Aisystem Tokyo and published by Taito for the Sega Genesis. A port of a 1987 arcade game, it is the sequel to Bubble Bobble, and the second game in the Bubble Bobble series. The player controls Bubby and Bobby, now returned to their human forms, as they attempt to save the Rainbow Islands from the Dark Shadow. It is one of the fifty-three games included in the Sega Genesis Mini 2 dedicated console. This version of the game was played on The D-Pad in a one-off episode in 2022, as the twenty-fifth game in their Sega Genesis Mini 2 series. The episode was released on November 27, 2022.
