The game was played on The D-Pad in 2020, as the second livestreamed game in The Mega Let's Play, and the eighty-sixth game in the series overall. Episodes were streamed live by Rick on the dpadfm Twitch account before being posted to YouTube. The LP began on August 26, 2020.

Trivia

  • Namco × Capcom was originally intended to run as a regular weekday game in The Mega Let's Play, following Onimusha Blade Warriors in the chronology. However, while searching the game Rick learned that the game is extremely long; a typical run of the game takes around 80-100 hours. This would have taken up the weekday schedule for as long as two years, so Namco × Capcom was moved to the Tuesday livestream slot, which is usually filled by a lengthy RPG. This marks the first time that a single Franchise Play on the channel has featured three LPs running simultaneously since the end of the original run of The Legendary Let's Play in 2014.
