Sonic Rivals is a 2006 racing game developed by Backbone Entertainment and Sega Studio USA and published by Sega for the PlayStation Portable. It features side-scrolling 2.5D gameplay in which the player must race another character to the finish line, and use various attacks on their opponent to slow them down. Four characters are playable: Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver. They each race to stop Eggman from conquering the world by turning people in objects into cards in four intersecting storylines. The game was played on The D-Pad in 2021, preceded by a brief LP of a 2003 Xbox prototype of Sonic the Hedgehog Extreme, a cancelled extreme sports Sonic game, as the seventy-third and seventy-fourth games in The Super Sonic Let's Play. The LP began on October 4, 2021.
