SegaSonic the Hedgehog is a 1993 action-platform game developed by Sega AM3 and published by Sega for arcades. It is a spin-off in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, only ever released in Japan. Up to three players control Sonic and the newly-introduced Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel as they attempt to escape from Dr. Robotnik's island. Its gameplay, which makes use of tracking ball to control the characters, is unique among Sonic games, and has led to significant difficulties in both official and unofficial attempts to emulate it. The game was played on The D-Pad in 2016, as the seventh game in The Super Sonic Let's Play. The LP consisted of 2 episodes, released on weekdays from August 8 to August 9, 2016.
