Sonic Adventure 2 is a 2001 platform game developed by Sonic Team USA and published by Sega for the Dreamcast. A high-definition remaster was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. It is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and a sequel to Sonic Adventure. Much like the previous game, it features six playable characters, but rather than each having a separate story, they are grouped into two teams, Hero and Dark, each with its own story to complete. The Hero story features Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles attempting to save the world, while the Dark story follows Eggman and new character Shadow the Hedgehog and Rouge the Bat as they attempt to conquer it. The PlayStation 3 remaster of the game was played on The D-Pad in 2018, as the forty-eighth game in The Super Sonic Let's Play. The LP consisted of 25 episodes, released on weekdays from May 8 to June 11, 2018.

This LP was re-released on The D-Pad Unpaused on December 16, 2023. An alternate version featuring the story re-cut into chronological order was released on December 18, 2023.

Trivia

• In episode 21 Rick accidentally enters a test level due to a rare glitch. As he is controlling Eggman at the time, he is unable to fully explore it, and is soon forced to reset after getting stuck. This clip was released separately as the second episode of D-Pad Select on September 16, 2021.
