Sonic R is a 1997 racing game developed by Traveller's Tales and Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Sega Saturn. The third racing game based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and the first to feature 3D graphics, it features ten characters playable characters from the series, with both singleplayer and multiplayer modes available. The game was played on The D-Pad in 2017, preceded by brief coverage of the 1997 PC screensaver application Sonic the Hedgehog: The Screen Saver, as the thirty-ninth and fortieth games in The Super Sonic Let's Play. The LP consisted of 7 episodes, released on weekdays from May 4 to May 11, 2017.
