Sonic Jam is a 1998 platform game developed and published by Tiger Electronics for their Game.com. Although it shares a name with the Sega Saturn Sonic Jam, the two games have completely different content. The Game.com game features a handful of levels inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles, and the ability to play as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles (the latter of whom is without his gliding and wall climbing abilities). It was played by The D-Pad in 2017 as the forty-first game in The Super Sonic Let's Play; due to its status as one of the worst, most obscure titles in the franchise, the first (and only) episode was erroneously labelled as Sonic Adventure on its initial upload, in order to conceal the game actually being played.

  |ShortSummary = In a live-action intro, Rick and John are excited to begin Sonic Adventure and end the run of low-quality Sonic spin-offs, but they are interrupted by the sudden return of Evil Ben, who introduces them to Sonic Jam. In the game proper, Rick, John, Ben and Lindsay observe the features of the Game.com (including a calendar and a phone book) before beginning. John takes control, entering the Sonic 2 stages with Knuckles, and is quickly amazed by the game's poor quality, low frame rate, bad controls and repetitive music. He beats the first level but gets a game over in the second, choosing instead to try the Sonic & Knuckles stages, this time with Tails. He eventually locates a special stage (a primitive version of the Sonic 3 special stages), but fails that as well and soon hands the control over to Rick. Rick reaches a boss fight (based on the Mushroom Hill Zone boss in Sonic & Knuckles), but is unable to defeat it and soon runs out of lives. Finally, Rick tries the Sonic 3 levels as Sonic, but quickly finds that the level is bugged, and he is not able to proceed without Tails.

Trivia

 • Due to the status of Sonic Jam as one of the worst, most obscure titles in the entire franchise, the true nature of the LP was concealed on its initial upload, with the episode being erroneously labelled as the premiere of the Sonic Adventure LP.
