Sonic Adventure is a 1999 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Dreamcast. A high-definition remaster was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. It is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and the first game in the "modern era" of the series, introducing new characters, modified designs for existing characters, and a setting that more closely resembles the real world, along with voice acted cutscenes. The plot follows Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy, along with new characters Big the Cat and E-102 Gamma, in six intertwining stories as they attempt to stop Doctor Eggman from unleashing the ancient entity Chaos. The game features full 3D gameplay, and hub areas that the player must navigate to reach the main levels. Several minigames are also present, many of them involving Chao, newly-introduced creatures which the player can raise as virtual pets. The PlayStation 3 remaster of the game was played on The D-Pad in 2017, as the forty-second game in The Super Sonic Let's Play. The LP consisted of 40 episodes, released on weekdays from May 23 to August 2, 2017.
