Sonic the Hedgehog is a 2006 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It is a main entry in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, released in celebration of the series' 15th anniversary. The game's story is split between three playable characters: Sonic, Shadow, and the newly-introduced Silver, each with a different style of play. The Xbox 360 version of the game was played on The D-Pad in 2021, as the seventieth game in The Super Sonic Let's Play. The LP began on January 2, 2021.
