Sonic Frontiers is a 2022 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, released to commemorate its 30th anniversary. It features a new style of gameplay not used in previous games in the franchise, with extensive sections set in open-world areas. The player controls Sonic as he explores the Starfall Islands and collects the Chaos Emeralds after being separated from his friends. The Xbox Series X version of the game was played on The D-Pad upon its release, as the eighty-first game in The Super Sonic Let's Play. The LP began on November 14, 2022.
