Shadow Generations is a 2024 platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It is part of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and serves as both a companion game to Sonic Generations and a sequel to Shadow the Hedgehog. The player controls Shadow, in a plot running parallel to that of Sonic Generations, as he travels through stages from his past and future and faces off against a revived Black Doom. The Nintendo Switch version of the game was played on The D-Pad in 2025, as the eighty-seventh game in The Super Sonic Let's Play. The LP began on January 27, 2025.
