Knuckles' Chaotix is a 1995 platform game developed and published by Sega for the 32X. It is a side game in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, featuring Knuckles the Echidna as the main character, joined by four other characters known as the "Chaotix": Mighty the Armadillo, returning from SegaSonic the Hedgehog, and three newcomers in Espio, Charmy, and Vector. They work together in order to defeat Dr. Robotnik and Metal Sonic, who are attempting to obtain six powerful "Chaos Rings" that will give them control over a mysterious island. During gameplay, two characters are connected to each other via a tether, and the player must make use of rubber band physics to navigate through the stages. The game was played on The D-Pad in 2011, preceded by a quickly-abandoned LP of the 2010 Wii game Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I, with the two games serving as the fifth and sixth (and final) games in Sonic Week. The entire LP was recorded in a single session and uploaded to the now defunct dpadup.com website as one long episode on June 25, 2011. It was later edited into 16 shorter episodes and released on YouTube on weekdays from October 14 to November 5, 2011.
The game was revisited on The D-Pad in 2017, preceded by a brief LP of Sonic Crackers, a 1994 Sega Genesis prototype build of Knuckles' Chaotix featuring Sonic and Tails as the main characters, as the twenty-second and twenty-third games in The Super Sonic Let's Play. The LP consisted of 15 episodes, released on weekdays from January 9 to January 24, 2017.
The game was played on The D-Pad a third time in a one-off episode by Rick in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Sonic Week in 2021, as the fifth game in Sonic Weekathon. The episode was streamed live on the dpadfm Twitch account before being uploaded to YouTube on June 25, 2021.
The game was played on The D-Pad a fourth time in a one-off episode in 2021, as the fourth game in The Complete 32X. The episode was released on November 2, 2021.

Trivia
- Knuckles' Chaotix was originally never intended to be played as part of Sonic Week. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I was the planned final game, but was abandoned after only a few minutes of gameplay due to severe lag issues that made the game unplayable. Knuckles' Chaotix was hastily swapped in as a substitute game.
Notes
- ↑ In this episode, Ben appears only in the live-action intro.
