Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is a 2024 action-adventure comedy film directed by Jeff Fowler and written by Pat Casey, Josh MIller, and John Whittington. It stars Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Idris Elba, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, Adam Pally, Lee Majdoub, Alyla Browne, Krysten Ritter, and Keanu Reeves. It is based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and is the third film in the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog series, and a sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The story follows Sonic, Tails and Knuckles as they face off against a new adversary: Shadow the Hedgehog. The film was covered on The D-Pad throughout its release cycle as part of The Super Sonic Let's Play, with an episode of The D-Pad Reacts covering the film's first trailer released on August 27, 2024.
