Chao in Space is a 2019 animated web special based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. It is the third Sonic animated web project directed by Tyson Hesse, following Sonic Mania Adventures and Team Sonic Racing Overdrive. It is based on posters advertising a fictional movie of the same title seen in various Sonic games, and was released as a special Christmas video in December 2019. The special was covered by The D-Pad in 2019, in a D-Pad + Chill video as part of The Super Sonic Let's Play; the sole episode was released on December 25, 2019.
